Department of Archaeology 
Explorations and excavations were carried out in 1980s and 1990s by the Department of Archaeology, Government of NCT of Delhi at three historic sites- Mandoli in East Delhi, Bhorgarh in North Delhi and Jhatikara in West Delhi. The discoveries at the sites of Mandoli and Bhorgarh are significant and spectacular.
