5. | Brief History | The tomb locally known as Maqbara Paik belongs to the Mughal Period. Not much is known about the history of the monument. The word “Paik” literally means a messenger and also refers to a foot soldier in Mughal infantry. There is no particular name associated with the tomb. |
6. | Architectural style | The main structure is resting on an octagonal platform or plinth with a small chamber on the lower ground floor. The tomb has arched recesses on its eight sides, with arched openings on its four cardinal points. The dome is segmental resting on a decorative drum.The structure is constructed of Lakhori Bricks masonry finished with lime plaster. |
