Brief History |
No particular names is associated with the Mosque other than Darwesh which is title given a saint or someone who is revered in the community. However it is located near Siri Fort which indicated its historical significance. |

Architectural style |
The original setting of the monument is lost due to road construction and development of the park where it is situated which has given the structure an obscure appearance. From the entrance of the park, the structure appears to be sitting at an angle; while, in reality and from the arial plan the upright position is very clear with the mihrab aptly facing the west side without any deviation. From the remains of the moswuq, it is clear that the main mihrab wall is at the upper court which stands on an arched dallan. There are five arched recesses on the north and southern side whereas the east and western sides have 7 arched recesses. The upper court is not accessible at present since the entrance has been disappeared and at the northeast end, there is remains of the doorway at the upper floor which indicates existence of stairway for entrance. |
