Brief History The site comprises of Mosque, a gateway and enclosure walls on all four side which belongs to Mughal period, there is also mention about the existence of a Baoli just in front of the Gateway but only few remains of it can be seen now, four walls of the enclosure still remain with the corner bastions and the garden which originally might have been in style of Charbagh. The second mosque which is situated at small distance from the first one is also part of the several remains of that period, which have a prayer chamber with apsidal/vaulted roof and three arched entrances on the eastern side.
6. Architectural style The First mosque has a simple rectangular plan with three domes on the top with square base, where the centre one is a bigger hemispherical dome and the other two side domes are onion shaped domes supported by pointed arches and vaults. Unlike the other Lodi period structures in the complex this mosque is built with bricks and lime plaster over it. It has pointed arches as well. Coming to the Gateway, which shows a totally different features of Rajput architecture. It has a vaulted roof inside and Bangaldar roof outside, supported by multi-foil arches in the exterior façade and pointed arch in the interior. It’s a double story structure, with stairs on the back side leading to the first floor which has open arcade rooms with rectangular windows opening in the front façade. Interesting feature of this gateway is the twisted columns on the corners in the front façade. The second mosque is rectangular in plan and the west wall hosts three mihrabs set within recessed arches, exterior is highlighted with floral kanguras and inverted lotus finial on top of the fluted dome.
